This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes technical data (IP address, browser, device type, request metadata) to deliver the site and protect against abuse. Cloudflare acts as a data processor under its own Privacy Policy.
I use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog to understand how visitors use this site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, referral source). Both tools may use cookies or local storage.
- Legal basis: Legitimate interest in improving content, subject to your consent where required by law.
- Data retention: Up to 14 months in GA4; up to 12 months in PostHog.
- Opt-out: You can opt out via your browser’s cookie settings or using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Google (US) and PostHog process data under Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address and the date of subscription are stored in Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., US).
- Legal basis: Your explicit consent (opt-in).
- Use: Sending newsletters and blog update emails only. I will not share your email with third parties.
- Retention: Your data is kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is deleted within 30 days.
- Unsubscribe: Every email contains an unsubscribe link. You can also request removal by emailing ahoj@xkatka.sk.
Mailchimp processes data in the US under Standard Contractual Clauses.
If comments are enabled on a post, they are powered by Giscus, which uses GitHub Discussions. Any comment data is handled by GitHub under their Privacy Policy.
If you contact me at ahoj@xkatka.sk, I will use the information you provide solely to respond to your message.

This site is not directed at children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact me so I can delete it.
I use reasonable technical measures (HTTPS, Cloudflare protection) to safeguard your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
